Stone Makes It Three In A Row

Perry Stone qualified for his third consecutive Fish’O’Mania Grand Final when he won the eighth of 16 qualifying events, held at Monk Lake Fishery on May 6.

Stone will make his fifth appearance in the event having weighed in a catch of 151lbs to beat Ian Brewer’s 140lbs 10oz and claim a peg at Cudmore Fisheries this July. The full report can be found here.

He will join Simon Colclough, who won the Makins Fishery qualifier by a slender 4oz over Wayne Ibbotson. Colclough’s catch weighed 93lbs 8oz to Ibbotston’s 93lbs 4oz.

The Tunnel Barn qualifier saw success for Frank Donachie in another closely contested match. His final weight of 124lbs 12oz saw him pip Ben Townsend’s 123lbs 14oz haul to land the Swindon angler a spot at Cudmore.

This year’s Fish’O’Mania Grand Final once again takes place at Cudmore Fisheries, Staffordshire on Saturday, July 18, live on Sky Sports. Tickets to the event remain free of charge.
