Steve Freeman and Dave Roberts are the latest two anglers to make it to the Fish’O’Mania XXII Grand Finals after winning their respective qualifiers at Messingham Sands Fishery and Gold Valley Lakes.
Freeman came through with a catch of 169lbs to finish ahead of second-placed Steve Cooke, whose catch totalled 133lbs 12oz at Messingham Sands on Saturday.
At Gold Valley Lakes on Wednesday, Roberts weighed in a total of 103lbs 13oz to beat Perry Stone (93lbs 8oz) to first place and a peg at Cudmore Fisheries in July thanks to two carp in the dying minutes of the match.
This year’s Fish’O’Mania Grand Final once again takes place at Cudmore Fisheries, Staffordshire on Saturday, July 18, live on Sky Sports. Tickets to the event remain free of charge.
