Saturday sees the 17th annual running of the Coral Fish’O’Mania Ladies match and Samantha Sim has the chance to record her fourth title and shatter the record for most Fish’O’Mania Ladies titles won.
The 29 year-old from Worthing, West Sussex took this title on her debut in 2007 and then recorded back-to-back wins in 2011 and 2012 to give her three victories. That put her on a par with Sandra Scotthorne who had won in 2000, 2001 and then in 2009.
Emma Pickering, who won for the first time in 2008, has won the past two events to put her in the exclusive club of three time champions.
With the field selected from the top six finishers at the Angling Trust Ladies National in 2014, Sim is the only previous champion in the field and the mother of three will be looking to once again claim the coveted title.
